THE BATTLEFIELD PRESERVE

Welcome

The 84 acre battlefield located on 812 Rush Island Bend Rd. Horse Cave, KY 42749 has seen action from both battles (The Battle of Munforville and The Battle of Rowlett's Station). It is currently owned and preserved by the Hart County Historical Society.

Additional Information

You can observe the L&N Rail Bridge, Colonel Robert Smith Monument, Reproduction of the Original Civil War Stockade, 200 feet of Rifle Trenches, and 84 acres of pure history. Come walk on the same fields as Civil War soldiers fought and died on many years ago.
